I received my PhD from MPI Biophysical Chemistry in Goettingen where I worked with Dr. Martin Zeidler and Prof. Herbert Jaeckle on the functions of JAK/STAT pathway and its control on cellular proliferation. Following this, I joined Prof. Utpal Banerjee’s lab at UCLA where I begun my understanding for hematopoiesis and which I continue to do presently as well. Apart from work, life is very busy at my end with family and practicing Odissi. |

I received my PhD degree from Tezpur University, Assam. My research focus was to understand the molecular mechanisms of severe malaria pathogenesis. Presently, my interest is to elucidate the role of blood cells in systemic lipid homeostasis using Drosophila as the model system. I am a die-hard travel junkie and love fiction. |

I received my Ph. D on the assessment of immune response in Drosophila against bacterial species from Kuvempu University, Shimoga, Karnataka. My research core priority is to understand the importance of olfactory control of innate immune priming in Drosophila and mosquitos. In my spare times, I enjoy photography and cooking.

I have done master in Animal biotechnology from University of Hyderabad (2013-15), followed by Junior Research Fellow (JRF) at Imtech, Chandigarh till March, 2017. I joined this lab in June, 2017 as JRF and subsequently registered as PhD student in 2018. My research interest is to understand “Blood progenitor homeostasis and its development under immune challenge in Drosophila larvae”. For non-academic interest I love to play, especially basketball and badminton, always eager to be a part of adventurous activities like trekking, hiking, had learnt a little skiing, and most of all gardening, learn to cook and sometimes reading novels too.

I did my masters in Zoology (H.S.) from Dept. of Zoology, Panjab University, Chandigarh. Having a keen interest in working on stem cells and development, I joined Mukherjee Lab as a Ph.D. student in 2018. My research is focused on understanding the olfactory and metabolic regulation of Drosophila hematopoeisis. I am looking at metabolic and systemic cues that regulate blood-progenitor development and differentiation. Apart from lab, I enjoy travelling, exploring techs and cooking.

I have done Master's in Clinical Biochemistry from the University of Kashmir. I joined Tina lab in 2019. I am investigating the role of macrophages in systemic growth control, utilizing Drosophila as a model organism. Besides my scientific journey, I like to travel and explore new places, play volleyball and cooking native Kashmiri cuisine.

I completed my Masters in Biochemistry from Dept. of Biochemistry at Banaras Hindu University. I previously worked in Dr. Bhavana's lab, InStem on developing organoid models using patient-derived iPSCs for understanding neuropsychiatric diseases. I joined Dr. Tina's lab in 2023 as a graduate student. I am interested in investigating how the metabolic state of blood cells regulate the sensory perception in Drosophila during infection and stress conditions. I am also curious about the signalling in Drosophila that connects the brain and blood cells, which are in an altered metabolic state.
Apart from science, I find my peace in listening to good music and watching Anime. I enjoy a good morning run or going on walks around the campus. You can also find me playing Foosball, Carrom, Badminton or Volleyball in my spare time." |

I did my Master's in Public Health Entomology from ICMR- Vector control research centre, Puducherry. I'm interested in exploring mosquito vectors and mosquito-borne diseases. I joined MAD lab as a Project Associate on May, 2023. My research focused on Olfaction induced immune changes in the mosquito system. I'm working on mosquito's vector competence for malaria parasite and dengue virus. I like to cook, swim and participate in Health education activities during weekends.

I have completed my M.Sc. in Biotechnology from St. Xavier's College (Autonomous), Kolkata. I joined the lab for my M.Sc Dissertation in March 2023, due to my overarching interest in the regulation of cell fate choices, particularly among stem cells or progenitor cells, and started as a JRF in September 2023. Our work in the lab focuses on understanding the olfactory control of mosquito immunity, for which we use the malarial vector Anopheles as a model. Apart from science, I find peace in a good book, music, cinema or writing poetry.

I have done my master's degree from IIT Kharagpur (in collaboration with IACS Kolkata) in Chemical and Molecular Biology, following which I worked as an intern for a year in Prof. Colin Jamora's lab, InStem. Currently, I am working as a JRF in the lab and I am interested in investigating the role of olfactory cues in regulating mammalian hematopoiesis and immune priming. When I am not in the lab, I spend my time in singing and sketching.
